Catechins
: The wonder element Scientists
from Japan Cancer Institute have been successful in identifying
substances in Green Tea called Catechins or Polyphenols, which act as
strong antioxidants among others. They are in a position to clinically
establish the old adage that "tea is a miraculous medicine for
the maintenance of health."
Catechins remain unchanged
in Green Tea as leaves are merely cut, dried and steamed as opposed to
black tea which is fermented. This process also ensures that there
remains no tannin in Green Tea - a substance that interferes with the
absorption of calcium, iron and protein by the body. Green Tea has
also been proved to be very low on caffeine - about one third of that
in a cup of coffee.
Catechins

Two cups of

Preparation :
5 gms of green tea should be put in 250 ml water and boiled till the
water becomes 1/3. The tea should then be filtered and without mixing
with milk or sugar it can be consumed.

Once a day 20 minutes before breakfast or 20 minutes before supper.
Special
Dosage : Twice a day 20 minutes before breakfast and 20 minutes
before supper.
